[Dec 2011] Nuron exercises option for a licence to PolyTherics’ TheraPEG™ technology to develop a long-acting human interferon beta-1b

London, UK, 13 December 2011 – PolyTherics Limited (“PolyTherics”), a provider of technology solutions to enable companies to develop better biopharmaceuticals, today announced that Nuron Biotech, Inc. (“Nuron”), a speciality biologics and vaccines company, has exercised its option to take a licence to PolyTherics’ TheraPEG™ conjugation technology to develop and commercialise a long-acting proprietary human interferon beta-1b (NU400) .

[Sep 2011] PolyTherics raises further funding to enable commercialisation of technologies for development of better biopharmaceuticals

London, UK, 7 September 2011 – PolyTherics Limited (“PolyTherics”), a solution provider to biopharmaceutical companies for the improvement of protein and peptide based drugs, has raised £2.15 million of new finance. The funds will be used to apply the company’s proprietary polymer-protein conjugation technologies to an expanding range of proteins and peptides and to pursue new applications of these technologies. The financing round was led by Imperial Innovations Group plc (AIM: IVO), with participation from existing investor The Capital Fund, which is managed by YFM Equity Partners, and new investor Proven Health VCT PLC (LON: PHV).
 

[Jun 2011] PolyTherics is granted a further patent for its TheraPEG™ PEGylation technology

London, UK, 7th June 2011 PolyTherics Limited (“PolyTherics”), innovators in precision improvement of proteins and peptides, today announced that a further patent has been issued by the US Patent Office for TheraPEG™, PolyTherics’ proprietary method of improving the pharmacokinetic properties of proteins and peptides. The patent consolidates PolyTherics’ TheraPEG™ patent portfolio, which covers proteins PEGylated using TheraPEG™, the reagents and the conjugation process.

[Apr 2011] PolyTherics and Critical Pharmaceuticals enter drug development collaboration with funding from the Technology Strategy Board

Critical Pharmaceuticals, an emerging biotechnology company and PolyTherics Limited ("PolyTherics"), innovators in precision improvement of proteins and peptides, today announced a collaboration to develop a novel injectable sustained release drug delivery system for a high value biological drug. The companies have been awarded a grant from the government-backed Technology Strategy Board to develop the technology and prototype drug.

[Mar 2011] PolyTherics new premises opened by Minister for Universities and Science, David Willetts

PolyTherics Ltd, an innovator in precision engineering of proteins to improve their pharmacokinetic properties, had its newly refurbished space at the London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC) opened on Tuesday 1st March by Rt Hon David Willetts, Minister of State for Universities and Science.
